How to Measure Bra Size Video: Sports Bra Edition
If you’re shopping for sports bras, it’s great to go into it after performing a proper fitting. You can easily do that at home using our handy bra fitting video. While finding the right sports bra size is almost identical to the process you’d use to find a regular bra, it is important that you give your athletic wear some special attention.
Step 1: Take Your Measurements
Start by putting on your favorite bra or the one that fits you most comfortably. Make sure to wear one that gives you a natural fit — skip padded, push-up and minimizer bras. Using measuring tape, measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape measure parallel to the bust. Next, measure above the bust, extending the tape measure around the back and above the bust, making sure to keep your arms down. For more details, watch our expert fit video on this page.
Step 2: Calculate Your Size
To use your bust and band measurements to find out which sports bra size is best for you, you simply need to determine the difference between the two. This number will correlate to your cup size. To find your band size, take the second measurement. If it’s an even number, that’s your band size. If it’s an odd number, round up to the nearest even size. To simplify this process, use our sports bra size calculator. As the creators of the world’s first sports bra, Glamorise is happy to help you find the perfect one for your specific needs. Remember, your sports bra should be snug but not tight and made from breathable, moisture-wicking fabrics.
